Krishna Provision Stores

Krishna Provision Stores is tucked away in the Vasant Smriti Building, which is part of the Thakur Complex in Kandivali East. It’s a busy neighborhood in Mumbai, and being near St Lawerence High School means we see a lot of activity throughout the day. When the school bell rings, the whole area transforms with parents and students everywhere. My shop is where people come for their daily groceries, like bags of flour, cooking oil, and snacks for the kids. I spend a lot of time stocking the shelves and making sure everything is within reach. The Vasant Smriti building is a nice place to be, and I’ve gotten to know many of the residents who live upstairs. Mumbai life is always fast, but inside the store, things feel a bit more grounded. I usually have the radio playing softly in the background while I check the dates on the milk packets. The space is a bit tight, so I have to be careful about where I stack the rice bags. Sometimes I get help from my family during the busy evening hours. We don’t have any big signs or fancy lighting; it’s just a reliable corner shop where you can find what you need for dinner. Kandivali East has grown a lot, and Thakur Complex is always bustling, but we just focus on our small corner and the people who rely on us for their household essentials. It’s a lot of work, but it’s what we do.
