Krishan Stores

If you walk down toward the Shree Siddhivinayak Temple in Kandivali East, you’ll find us. Krishan Stores is located in Thakor Complex, right at No 2 in the Gokul Regency building. It’s a busy part of the city, so there’s always something happening outside. We get a lot of people who are on their way to the temple or coming home from work. The shop is small and can get a bit crowded when more than three people come in at once. We’ve got stuff piled up pretty high because space is hard to come by around here in Mumbai. I spend a lot of my day just reaching for things on high shelves or cleaning the dust off the jars. It’s a loud area with all the rickshaws and people talking, but you get used to the noise after a few weeks. We don't have any marketing or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning and close them at night. Sometimes the neighbors stop by just to chat for a minute while they’re out running errands. It feels like we’re right in the middle of everything. It’s hard work keeping everything organized in such a tight space, but we manage. We’ve been at this spot in Thakor Complex for a while now, and most people in the building know us by name. It’s just how things are in Kandivali East. We are just a local shop.
