Golden Plywood

If you go to Khopat in Thane, you’ll find Golden Plywood in Shop No. 13 of Shiv Tower. It is right across from the Thane Janata Sahakari Bank, which makes it easy for people to explain where we are. The shop is full of plywood sheets stacked high, so there isn’t much room to walk around once you step inside. You can always smell the wood and the sawdust in the air. We spend a lot of time moving boards around for people to see. It’s heavy work, and our hands usually have some dust on them by the end of the day. The shop isn't modern; it's just a place where we keep the stock and talk to the people who walk in. Shiv Tower is a well-known building in this part of Thane, so we get a lot of local folks stopping by. Sometimes they just want to ask prices, and other times they know exactly what they need for their homes. We don’t have a big marketing plan or anything. We just open the shop, wait for the bank across the street to start its day, and handle whatever comes our way. It gets loud with the traffic outside, but inside we just focus on the wood. It’s been our routine for a long time, and we don't see that changing anytime soon.
