We've been at Shop No.9 in Bazarpeth for quite a few years now. Most days it's just about opening up early, maybe around nine, and making sure the floor is swept before the main crowds start coming through the market area. It gets really loud outside with all the people walking by and the vendors calling out, but that's just how life is around here. We aren't doing anything fancy or trying to be a big corporation. We just stay here and handle whatever work comes through the door. Sometimes the lights flicker a bit when it rains hard during the monsoon, but we manage just fine with a torch if needed. It’s a small space, mostly filled with whatever we’re working on or selling at the time. You learn how to move around the stacks of boxes without bumping into stuff after a while. People stop by just to ask for directions to the station sometimes, and that's alright with us. We know most of the other shopkeepers nearby and we usually get our tea from the same stall every afternoon. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept on the shelves. If you look for the sign above the door, it’s a bit faded from the sun but you can still see the name Dostex. We don't spend much time on the computer or making things look perfect for photos. It is just a regular shop.
