K. K. Products

You can find K. K. Products tucked away in the Babla Compound on Kalyan Road. We are right behind the old Apsara Talkies, and Nai Basti is just across from us. It is an industrial kind of spot with a lot of other small workshops around. Our building is at Plot No 7, and you can usually hear the sound of the machines from the gate. We make a variety of things here, mostly focusing on small parts and items that people use in their own businesses. The floor is usually a bit oily and there are metal shavings in the corners. It’s a busy place where everyone has a job to do. We don’t spend much time in an office; most of the day is spent on the floor checking the production and making sure the machines are running right. When the movies start at the talkies, you can sometimes hear the faint music through the walls. We have a small crew of workers who live nearby in Nai Basti, so they just walk over in the mornings. We take our breaks outside on the steps when it gets too stuffy inside. There is a lot of heavy lifting and the work is pretty loud, but it keeps us busy. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. We just focus on getting the products finished and packed into the boxes for the next delivery truck. It’s just how we run things here.
