Our office is on the second floor of Shubham Complex, right near Sri Lakshmi Park in the Beverly Park area of Mira Road. If you have ever been to this part of Mumbai, you know it is always moving and there is always noise. We have been here for a good stretch of time now. The building is usually full of people coming and going. We do not have a lot of bells and whistles in our space. It is just a place where we sit down and handle our resources and all the paperwork that comes with it. We deal with a lot of different people every day. Some are easy to work with and others take a bit more patience, but we try to be the same with everyone. Our team is small, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, whether it is answering the phone or filing papers. We are not big on those corporate meetings that go on for hours. We would rather just talk across the desks and get things sorted quickly. The tea lady comes by in the afternoon and that is usually the highlight of our day. We like being in Mira Road because it feels like a real neighborhood. We just want to do our jobs, go home to our families, and come back tomorrow to do it again. No fancy slogans or empty promises here.
