Jay Shiv Anand Samajik Association

Our spot is in Shri Sai Vinayak Darshan, right at Flat 401. This is over in Adarsh Nagar, Tisgaon. It's a busy little neighborhood and there is always something happening on the street below. We are the Jay Shiv Anand Samajik Association. We mostly focus on social things happening right here in our own backyard. The building itself is pretty standard for this area. You walk up the stairs and you’ll find us. We don't have any flashy signs or anything. It's just a place where we gather to talk about how to help out around the community. Sometimes the neighbors pop in for a chat or to tell us about something going on. We try to be helpful when we can. It’s not a corporate setup at all. We have a few chairs and a lot of papers scattered around. Usually, there is some chai being made in the small kitchen. We like being in Tisgaon because it feels like a real place where people actually live and work together. We’ve been doing this for a while now and we don't plan on moving. It’s a simple life, really. We just take things one day at a time and see what needs fixing or who needs a hand. It’s just us doing what we can with what we have. Our main goal is just to keep the neighborhood together and look out for each other. It gets a bit crowded in here sometimes, but we don't mind.
