Jai Gurudev Kirana Store

Our shop is Jai Gurudev Kirana Store, located at Shop No. 4 in Shlok Nagar, Phase 2. We are right on Datiwali Road in Diva East. If you know where Angel Paradise English School is, we are just a short distance from there. It is a typical neighborhood grocery store. We started this because there weren't many places nearby to get fresh supplies without walking a long way. We carry the usual stuff like rice, pulses, soaps, and milk. Every morning we get the milk delivery early before the school starts. It gets noisy when the kids are going to school or coming back. They often stop by for a packet of chips or some biscuits. The shop is not very big, so we have to stack the sacks of grains carefully against the walls. We don't use any fancy computer systems for billing; it is mostly just a notebook and a calculator. Sometimes we get busy and the line goes out the door, but people are patient. We’ve lived in Diva for years and know how the water and electricity can be a bit tricky here. We just try to keep the shop running so people in Shlok Nagar have what they need for their dinner. It is a lot of standing all day, but we like talking to the customers who have become like friends. We aren't trying to be a supermarket, just a local kirana store for the people living right here on Datiwali Road.
