Our place is Shop No 102 inside Reva Apartments in Kandivali East. It’s a residential building, so it feels very much like part of the neighborhood. We are quite close to the Tree House, which is a landmark most people in the area recognize. The shop isn't huge, but we’ve managed to fit in the equipment we need for the tests. Every morning starts quite early because people want to get their blood work done before they go to the office. It can get a little cramped in the waiting area during those early hours. We have a few plastic chairs and a small table with some old newspapers. The walls are painted a light blue, and we try to keep things as clean as possible. Being in Reva Apartments means we see a lot of the residents coming in and out of the main gate. The staff here has been together for a while, so we have a rhythm for how we handle the samples and the paperwork. It’s a straightforward job. We don’t have fancy coffee machines or a big reception desk. It’s just a counter where you hand over your forms. Outside, you can usually hear the sounds of the apartment complex, like kids playing or cars parking. It’s a very local operation and we like being tucked away in this part of Kandivali. There’s a small ceiling fan that hums constantly to keep the air moving while we work on the daily reports and test results.
