You’ll find us on the third floor of the Sai-Krupa Building. We’re right at Ganesh Chowk in Diwa West, which is part of Thane. Indian Register Of Shipping has a steady presence here. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but we like the view of the street from up here. The office is usually humming with the sound of computers and people talking on the phone. We handle a lot of the technical side of shipping and maritime safety. It’s not the most glamorous work, but it needs to get done properly. We’ve got a lot of files stacked up, and the coffee isn’t always great, but we make it through the day. Diwa is a busy area, so there’s always noise coming from the market downstairs. We’ve been here long enough that the local shopkeepers know us. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It’s just a practical workspace for practical people. If you need to drop off documents or ask about a registration, we’re usually around during normal hours. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot of backlog. We just keep our heads down and do the work as it comes in. It’s a decent place to work, even if it gets a bit crowded on Mondays. We try to keep the fans running to stay cool during the humid months. It is just a regular office life for our small crew.
