Working out of C-206 in the Gurukul Co-Op Housing Society in Airoli is a bit different from a big downtown office. This is where we handle things for Hpcl in this part of Navi Mumbai. Sector 8A is a decent residential area, so we try to keep our operations low-key so we don't disrupt anyone’s afternoon. We aren't a big flashy headquarters; we are more of a practical hub for managing local tasks. There are usually three or four of us here at any given time, surrounded by computers and a lot of reference books. We deal with various logistics and paperwork that come with the territory. It gets a little cramped when we have a lot of files to go through, but we make the space work. Most of our day is spent communicating with other branches or checking on local supply lines. We don't have a big sign outside or a fancy lobby. If you walked by, you might just think it’s another apartment, which is fine by us. We focus on getting through our lists and making sure everything stays on track. It’s a simple setup that lets us stay close to the actual work without all the unnecessary overhead. Sometimes we have tea in the society's common area. It’s just a normal job in a normal neighborhood, and we like the honesty of that. We've been here in Airoli for several years now.
