Hdil,Kurla,Mumbai

We are based out of Jayaram Patil Chawl in the Asadegaon area of Dombiwali East. Specifically, we're in Room Number 3, which is part of Chawl Number 2. If you find yourself standing opposite Mahalaxmi Medical, you are pretty much looking at where we work. Hdil has some ties to Kurla in Mumbai too, but this is our daily home. Working in a chawl is a very specific experience. You see the laundry hanging out, you hear the kids playing, and you smell whatever the neighbors are cooking for lunch. It’s not a sterile office environment at all. We have our few desks and chairs and we just do our thing. We’ve been in this spot for a bit and we’ve gotten to know the rhythm of the street. It’s a humble place, no doubt about it. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. We just focus on the tasks at hand and try to keep things moving. The commute can be a bit of a struggle sometimes with the trains, but we make it work. It’s a very real way to run a business. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a big lobby or a name on a skyscraper. We’re just part of the local fabric here in Dombiwali. It’s just us, doing what we know how to do, one day at a time. We don't need much more than that.
