Our foundation is tucked away in the Sudarshan Nagar area, specifically in the MIDC residential zone. We’re in G1 at the Sonaleea Co-Op Housing Society, which is at Rx 34. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say the address, but once you get here, it’s quite peaceful. We’ve always had a thing for the stray dogs and the old trees around the neighborhood. There aren't enough people looking out for them, so we figured we should. It’s just a small group of us. We don't have a lot of money, but we have plenty of time and some space here. Sometimes the neighbors bring us plants that aren't doing well, or tell us about a cat that’s stuck somewhere. We do what we can with what we’ve got. The MIDC zone can be busy, but our little corner stays fairly quiet. We spend our days tending to whatever needs attention. It might be some saplings or an animal that needs a bit of food. It’s not a big corporate operation. We’re just local people who like nature and animals. We live right here, so we’re always around. It’s been a few years now since we started, and the trees we planted early on are starting to look good. That’s all we really wanted. We don't need fancy offices. This apartment unit works just fine for our needs.
