We operate out of Gala No.10 in the Laxmi Industrial Estate over in Sativali. Vasai East is a pretty crowded place for industries, and our street is no different. There are trucks coming and going at all hours, which can make parking a nightmare. We’ve got a modest space where we handle our manufacturing. It’s one of those typical industrial units with high ceilings and a mezzanine floor for storage. We’ve got piles of boxes and raw materials stacked up against the walls. Some days it’s a bit of a struggle to find a clear path to the back door. Our crew is small, just a few local guys who know the machines inside out. We don’t really bother with uniforms or fancy signs. People find us by word of mouth mostly. The tea stall around the corner is where we usually end up during the mid-morning break. It’s a simple life here. We get the raw materials in, we process them, and then we send the finished goods out. Sometimes the machinery acts up and we have to spend half the day fixing a motor or a belt, but that’s part of the routine. We don’t have a big marketing department or anyone to write glossy brochures. We just make sure the quality is decent and the price is fair for our customers. It's a practical way to run a business in Vasai.
