Handling

Our place is over in Thane, right across from the Civil Hospital at Aakruti Park. We are on the 8th floor, in suite 803. It’s a pretty good spot because it’s easy to tell people how to find us when they are coming for a meeting. Handling is the name of our outfit, and we mostly deal with moving stuff and logistics for local businesses. It’s not a very exciting business to be in, but it’s necessary for things to run smoothly. The office has a good view of the hospital and all the traffic on the road below. We have a few desks and a big map of the area pinned to the wall. Most of our day is spent talking to drivers on the phone and checking on where the shipments are. It gets really busy in the mornings when everyone is trying to get their trucks out on the road. We don't have any of that fancy corporate culture stuff here. We just come in, do our work, and go home to our families. Sometimes we have to stay late if there’s a problem with a delivery or a truck breaks down. The building is okay, though the elevator is a bit slow. We’ve got a small pantry in the corner where we make tea. Most of our clients are factories or warehouses that need things moved from one place to another. We’ve been doing this for a few years now.
