Haksh Import Export India Private Limited is located over in Ulhasnagar, right in the middle of a very busy commercial area. Our office is actually Shop Number 1 on the ground floor, which means we see a lot of people walking by every single day. Kamlesh Nirmaldas Dadlani started this up and we just keep the operations running from this small space in Thane. It is a bit crowded with all the files and samples we keep around, but it is a working shop so it doesn't need to look like a showroom. We spend most of our time dealing with the back-and-forth of importing and exporting goods, which involves a lot of phone calls and checking on shipping dates. The street outside is always full of energy and sometimes it is hard to hear yourself think with the horns honking, but that is just part of being in Ulhasnagar. We don't use any big words to describe what we do, we just move things from one place to another and make sure the paperwork is correct. It is honest work and it keeps us on our toes from the moment we open the shutters in the morning. We usually have a lot of tea and chat with the neighboring shop owners when things get a little quiet. It is a very local way of doing business and we have been at this spot long enough that we feel like a permanent fixture on the block.
