Guru Krupa Fabrication Works

Down here at Mahesh Industrial Estate, things stay pretty loud. We are right opposite Silver Park on Mira Road. You can usually hear the grinders going from the street. Our unit is 328. It is a bit dusty in here because that is just how metal work is. We spend most of our time welding or cutting stuff for whoever needs it. There’s usually a pile of iron bars in the corner and some finished frames waiting to be picked up. It gets really hot in the afternoons, especially when we have several torches going at once. We share tea with the guys from the next unit over during the break. It is hard work and our hands are always dirty by lunchtime. Sometimes we have to move everything around just to make space for a bigger job. The floor is concrete and scarred from years of dropping heavy pieces. We don’t really have a front desk or anything like that. If someone comes by, they just shout over the noise to get our attention. We’ve been in this estate long enough to know everyone’s name. It isn't a fancy shop, just a place where we get the fabrication done. We keep our tools on the wall and try to find them when we need them. It’s just how we live and work here every single day without much fuss.
