Guks Chit Funds Private Limited is based in Kalyan West, over at 1/1 Maharashtra Nagar Chawl. Our office is on M.K. College Road, which stays pretty busy because of the students and the shops. We are located right behind Malhar Sankul, so that is usually the easiest way for people to describe where we are. Being in a chawl means we are part of a tight-knit community. The 421301 area in Thane is a place where there is always something going on. Our space is small and tucked away, which we don't mind at all. It has a very ground-level feel to it, literally. We see the same people walking to the college every day. Inside the office, we have our files and our desks, and not much else. It isn't a place for showing off, just a place for working. The sounds of the street come in through the door, and we have the usual hum of the neighborhood around us all day. We have stayed in this Maharashtra Nagar spot because it’s where our roots are. We don't need a high-rise office to do what we do. Dealing with chit funds is about trust and being accessible to the people, and being in a chawl helps with that. We are just regular people working in a regular part of Kalyan, keeping our books straight and our doors open.
