Glonet Marketing Pvt.Ltd. is based out of R-427/9 in the TTC Industrial Area in Rabale. It’s right on the Thane-Belapur Road, so the traffic is something we deal with every single day. The building is part of the MIDC area, which means it’s surrounded by all sorts of factories and other warehouses. Our part of the building is where we handle the marketing side of things. It’s mostly desks, phones, and people talking. We aren’t a huge company with hundreds of employees; we’re just a regular group of people trying to keep things organized. The commute to Rabale can be a bit long for some of us, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the Thane-Belapur Road. We have our files and our schedules, and we stick to them. The windows look out onto other industrial units, so the view is mostly concrete and trucks. We keep a few potted plants by the entrance just to have a bit of green around. Our desks are usually covered in post-it notes and scribbled reminders. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s important for what we do. We spend a lot of time on the phone or responding to messages. Sometimes the internet acts up or the power fluctuates, but that’s just life in an industrial zone. We don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe ourselves. We just say we are in Rabale and we do marketing work. It’s a basic, functional workspace.
