Our setup for DLF Laing O'Rourke (India) Ltd is in Thane East, specifically at Room No. 29 in the Mumbai Seema CHSL. It’s located in Thaneksr Wadi within the Kopri Colony. If you know Thane, you know Kopri is a pretty established area, and it can get quite busy around the station side. Being in a cooperative housing society means we are part of the local community, which is nice. The office is not very big, but it’s where we handle all the Maharashtra-based coordination. Pin-400603 is our local area. We have stacks of blueprints and folders everywhere because there is always a lot of documentation to track. It’s a bit of a squeeze when everyone is in the office at the same time, but we manage. The atmosphere is very much like a small local business, even though we are part of something bigger. We deal with the heat and the monsoon leaks just like everyone else in Thane. Sometimes we go out to the local stalls for a quick snack during the break. It is a very practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We don’t have fancy receptionists or leather sofas. Just some sturdy tables, chairs, and people working on their computers. It’s a bit old-school in some ways, but it works for us. We spend most of our time talking to contractors or checking on the site progress from this little room.
