Dharmaveer Social Foundation

Dharmaveer Social Foundation is based over in building 14, room 402 of the Vastuanand complex. We are right near Raj Park in the 400605 area. It is a residential kind of place, so it doesn't feel like a cold office at all. It feels like a home because, well, it basically is. We have a couple of tables set up and some shelves for our files. Getting to the fourth floor is okay, though the lift sometimes acts up, so we end up taking the stairs more often than we would like. We spend most of our time here just organizing things for the foundation. We are not a big organization with hundreds of workers. It is just a handful of us who live nearby and wanted to do something useful for the community. We talk to the neighbors and try to help out with local issues. Sometimes we have tea together and plan what to do next. It is all very informal. We don’t have a secretary or anything; whoever is closest to the phone just picks it up. The office gets a lot of sunlight in the morning, which is nice for saving on electricity. We try to be there most days, but sometimes we are out running errands or meeting people at Raj Park. It’s just a practical way to run things without all the fuss of a big corporate office. We just do the work.
