We are Design Consortium Architects (i) Pvt Ltd, and you can find our office on the ground floor of Maha Bhawani Apartment. We are situated in Bhaskar Colony, over in the Naupada area of Thane West. It’s a nice residential spot, right near the Tuljabhawani Temple. We like being here because it’s a bit quieter than the main roads, though parking can still be a bit of a headache. As architects, we spend most of our time staring at blue prints or sitting in meetings. It’s not as exciting as people think, but we enjoy the process of seeing a building come together. Our office is a bit of a mess with rolls of paper and half-empty coffee cups. We don’t have a fancy receptionist or anything. Usually, one of us just looks up from a computer when someone walks in. We’ve been working in Thane for a long time and know the local rules pretty well. We handle a mix of different projects, some big and some small. We don't try to act like a big international firm. We’re just a local team doing our best to design things that don't fall down and look okay. The temple nearby is a good landmark for people trying to find us for the first time. It’s a simple, honest workspace. Sometimes we spend hours arguing over a single staircase design. That’s just part of the job. We keep a stash of biscuits for when the meetings go long and everyone gets hungry.
