Our office is in the Shivneri building on the third floor. We are at Shop No 309 which is tucked away off Gokhale Road in Thane West. If you know where Goandevi Maidan is then you can find us pretty easily because we are right near there. Being on the third floor means we get a bit of a breeze sometimes but mostly we just hear the sounds of the traffic from the road below. Gokhale Road is always packed with people and cars so it can be a bit of a struggle to find parking if you come at the wrong time. We’ve been operating out of this shop for some time and the walls are covered with stuff we’ve collected over the years. It’s a practical space. We have some desks and a few chairs for when people stop by to talk. Usually there is a radio playing somewhere in the background or just the sound of the ceiling fans clicking away. It’s not a quiet library type of place because there is always something to discuss or a phone ringing. We know the other shop owners on our floor and we often see them in the hallway. It feels like a small community inside the building. We just show up every morning and stay until the work is finished for the day. It’s an honest way to spend the time and we like being in Thane West.
