Our little shop, Cookie Man, is located over in Kandivali East 101. It is not a massive factory or anything, just a place where we bake things. The smell of the oven is the first thing you notice when you walk in, which is nice I guess. We spend a lot of our time weighing out flour and sugar and checking the timers. It can get a bit messy with flour getting everywhere, but we clean it up as we go. We started this because we liked the idea of having a small shop in the neighborhood. The space is a bit tight, especially when we have a lot of trays coming out at once. We do not have a fancy website or a marketing team. It is just us in the back doing the work. People from the nearby buildings come in to pick up a few things for their tea time. We know a lot of them by name now. The weather in Kandivali gets pretty humid, which sometimes makes the baking a bit tricky, but we have figured out how to handle it. We just put the cookies in the jars and wait for people to stop by. There is no big secret to it. We just show up, turn on the ovens, and get to work. It is a quiet way to make a living and we like being part of this street.
