Chikitsa Clinic

My clinic is tucked away in Shop 3 of the Vishnu Prasad Building. If you know Subhash Road in Vishnu Nagar, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times. It’s a small place, but it serves the folks around Dombivli West well enough. I usually open up early because people like to stop by before they head off to work or catch the train. The waiting area has a few chairs and some old magazines that nobody really reads anymore. There’s always a bit of noise from the street outside, but inside we try to keep things calm. I handle the check-ups and talk to patients about whatever is bothering them. It’s not a hospital with hundreds of beds, just a local spot for basic health needs. I’ve lived in Thane for years, so I know a lot of the families who come in. Sometimes the power goes out or the rain is so heavy that the road gets flooded, but we stay open as long as we can. My desk is usually covered in files and prescription pads. I don’t use any fancy computer systems for everything; I still like writing things down by hand. It feels more personal that way, or maybe I am just old fashioned. We aren't trying to be the biggest medical center in the world, just a simple spot for the neighbors to get a quick look-over when they aren't feeling their best.
