Our place is over in the Seth Industrial Estate in Vasai East. If you know the Navghar area, it’s tucked away in there. It’s a busy spot with lots of trucks moving in and out all day. We’ve been operating out of unit number 6 for a while now. The air usually smells like plastic because that’s what we deal with most of the time. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, especially during the summer months, but the fans keep things moving. We have a small crew working the machines. They know the equipment inside and out. It’s not a quiet place. There is always the hum of the machinery in the background while we work. We focus on getting the orders out on time. Sometimes the logistics can be a bit of a headache with the traffic around Thane, but we manage. The floor is usually covered with bits of material, and we clean it up at the end of every shift. We’re not a huge corporation with fancy offices. We have a small cabin for the admin work and that’s about it. Most of the space is taken up by the raw materials and the finished parts waiting to go out. It’s honest work. We’ve been in this trade for a good stretch. The workers take their lunch breaks together under the shade. It’s a simple routine that we’ve stuck to because it works for the kind of stuff we produce here.
