Cawse Social Foundation

Our office is at Flat Number 101 in Aftab Palace, which is right near the Green Park CHS in the Shil-phata area of Thane. If you know the Kausar Hotel, we are very close to that landmark. Shil-phata is famous for its traffic, so we spend a lot of time hearing the horns from the main road. The Cawse Social Foundation operates from this first-floor apartment. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes when we have a few people over, but we make it work. Aftab Palace is a typical building for this area—nothing too flashy, just a place to live and work. We have a lot of files stacked up in the corners because there’s always something to do. The kitchen area is where we usually take our breaks. Working in Thane-400612 means we are right at the edge of the city where everything is expanding. We didn’t want a big office in a business park because this feels more personal. You can see the Green Park buildings from our windows. We don't have any formal reception or anything; if you knock on the door of 101, one of us will just open it. It’s a very informal way to run a foundation, but it suits our style. We are just regular folks trying to get things done without making a big fuss about it. Some days are slow, some are crazy, but we stay right here.
