We are based in the Maruti Compound at Kasheli, which is out in the Kalher area of Thane. Our unit is number 57. It’s a large industrial compound with many different businesses, so there’s always a lot of activity. We handle food products. Most of our day is spent on the warehouse floor, checking the inventory and making sure everything is packed up for the trucks. The Mumbai-Agra Road is very close, so it’s easy for the big lorries to get in and out, though the traffic can be terrible sometimes. We have a small office that’s basically just a desk and some filing cabinets. It’s not a fancy corporate environment. We are just regular people doing the daily work. The warehouse can get pretty hot in the summer, but we have a few big fans going. We don’t have any marketing people or a sales team. We just fulfill the orders that come in. Most of our workers have been with us for a long time, so we all know the routine. We usually eat our lunch together in a small corner. It’s a simple, practical way to run a business. We focus on getting the food items out to where they need to go without any fuss. It’s a busy life here in Thane, but we like the pace and the people we work with every day.
