At Simran Plastics, we spend our days at 984, Durga Compound. It’s right near Ganesh Housing Society, just behind the old Apsara Cinema on Kalyan Road. It’s an industrial sort of area, so there’s always trucks and noise around. We work with plastic goods. It’s messy work sometimes, but it’s what we do. It’s a place where work actually happens. We’ve been at this Kalyan Road location for a while now. People usually find us by looking for the cinema first. We don't have any big slogans. We just make what needs to be made. Some days are longer than others, especially when a big order needs to go out. The staff here are just local guys who know the trade. We keep our heads down and stay busy. If you need to find us, just head behind Apsara Cinema and look for the Durga Compound entrance. We are usually there from early morning until the sun goes down. It’s a straightforward life. We deal with the heat in the summer and the rain in the monsoon, just like everyone else. We make sure the machines are running and the orders are packed up right.
