Our place is located at Survey No. 140/2 in Saravali, near Boisar. It’s a bit of a drive out to Palghar but this is where the work gets done. We make flanges. It’s a lot of steel and heavy lifting. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and oil. We’ve got big machines for cutting and shaping the parts. Most of the staff comes from the local villages nearby. We start early in the morning when it’s still cool. By noon the shed gets quite warm. We aren't a big flashy office. It’s just a practical setup for manufacturing. We have piles of raw material sitting in the yard waiting to be processed. Trucks come in and out all day long to pick up the finished goods. The road isn't the best but we manage. Sometimes we have to deal with rain coming through the shutters during monsoon season. We just put on our boots and keep moving. It is a steady business. We’ve been at this spot for a good while. Dealing with steel takes patience and we have plenty of that. It’s noisy and dirty but that’s how you know things are being made. We don't spend much on decor, just on the tools we need to finish the jobs. The office chairs are a bit worn out but they work fine. We focus on the metal itself more than anything else. Most of the day is just spent making sure the cuts are right.
