Bayer (India) Ltd. is situated on Kolshet Road in Thane. This area has changed quite a bit over the years, going from mostly industrial to having a lot more residential complexes around. Our presence here is quite established. The site on Kolshet Road is where we have our operations, and it’s a fairly large space compared to a standard city office. We have people working on all sorts of things related to life sciences and chemicals. It’s a busy place, but it has a different feel than the crowded offices in South Mumbai. There’s a bit more room to breathe here. We don't go for a lot of promotional talk about ourselves. We just focus on the research or the production tasks that need to be finished. The staff here is a mix of long-timers and some newer faces. We usually eat in the canteen and talk about regular stuff like the weather or the commute. Kolshet Road can get backed up during peak hours, so a lot of us try to time our departures. We’ve been a part of this Thane neighborhood for a long time now. It’s just a place where we do our work without making a big fuss about it. We keep our heads down and make sure we are doing what we are supposed to do. That’s how things go for us every day.
