We are over here at No. 15 in the Sapna Industrial Estate, which is part of the MIDC Saravali area. It is a busy place with a lot of other factories around us, so there is always the sound of trucks and heavy machinery in the air. We have been working out of this spot for a good while now. Our day starts early when the shutters go up and the light hits the work floor. It is mostly a space filled with rolls of cloth and people sitting at their machines. We do not have a big fancy lobby or anything like that because most of our space is used for production. The walls are a bit scuffed from moving boxes around, but that is just how it is in an industrial zone. During the monsoon, the roads around here get a bit muddy, which makes deliveries a little slower, but we manage. Inside, it is always a bit loud because of the stitching equipment and the big fans we have to keep the air moving. We usually take our breaks together and talk about whatever is going on in the neighborhood. It is not a very complicated setup, just a group of us trying to get the garments finished and packed up correctly. We focus on the daily tasks like checking the thread colors and making sure the sizes are what they should be. It is honest work and we just take it one day at a time here.
