Ashida Electronics

Our place is on the first floor of Audumber C. H. S., which is right in Tukaram Nagar. If you are coming down Ayre Road in Dombivili, you’ve probably passed it plenty of times. Being on the first floor is handy because we don't have to rely on the lift, which is good because sometimes the power goes out in this part of town. Ashida Electronics is a busy little spot. We spend the bulk of our day hunched over benches looking at circuits and trying to figure out why things aren't working the way they should. The room A-4 isn't huge, so we have to be careful with how we stack the boxes of components. There is a window that looks out toward the street, so we see the school kids walking home and the local vegetable sellers doing their rounds. It gets a bit noisy in the evenings when everyone is coming back from work, but we usually wrap up by then anyway. We have a small pantry area where we keep the kettle for coffee. It’s not a corporate office with glass walls or anything. It feels more like a home that turned into a workshop over time. The flooring is a bit worn out in the spots where we move our chairs, but that just shows we’ve been here working hard for a lot of years.
