We’re over in Thane, specifically in the MMRDA society at room number 1913 in block 4. It’s right near Chitalsar Manpada, which is the main landmark we tell everyone to look for. The society is huge and it can be a bit like a maze if it’s your first time visiting us. Our room is usually buzzing with some kind of activity. It’s not a very large space, so we have to be organized with how we stack our files and equipment. We have a couple of ceiling fans that work overtime because it gets quite warm in the afternoons. Most of us who work here live around Thane, so the commute isn't too bad. We like being in this residential block because it feels real. You hear the sounds of families and kids playing outside, which is much better than a silent corporate building. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or sitting at the main desk trying to get through the daily pile of work. It’s not always perfectly quiet, and sometimes the neighbors' music is a bit loud, but we just get on with it. We don’t have any fancy reception area. You just walk in and we’re right there. We try to keep things simple and honest. It’s a humble spot but it’s where all the work for the foundation gets done every day without fail.
