Arab Oil

Our office for Arab Oil sits on the 8th floor of G-Square on Jawhar Road in Ghatkopar East. Being up that high gives us a bit of a view, though mostly we just see the tops of other buildings and the busy streets below. We are right near the BMC N Ward office, so there is always a lot of activity in this part of town. The work we do involves a lot of logistics and coordinating with suppliers. It’s a lot of computer work and talking on the phone to people in different cities. The office is modern enough, but we’ve definitely filled it with too many desks and boxes of files over the years. It feels lived-in. We have a small pantry where we make tea, and that’s usually where the best conversations happen. We don't go in for big corporate slogans. We just focus on making sure the oil orders are processed correctly and the trucks are on time. The elevator in G-Square can be slow during the lunch hour, so we often end up waiting around with folks from the other floors. It’s a typical city office life. Some days are slow and we just tidy up the place, while other days are a total scramble to get everything finished before the weekend. We just take it as it comes and try to stay productive in our own quiet way. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s our daily routine.
