Amity Leather International

We spend most of our days out here in Agarwadi, just off Saphale Road. It’s a bit of a drive from the main town, but the air is different here in Palghar. Amity Leather International isn't a fancy place with glass walls. We have a solid roof and a lot of work to do. Most of the guys have been here for years. They know how the leather feels and how it should be handled before it goes anywhere else. Sometimes the machines get a bit loud, but we’re used to it by now. You can usually find us around the cutting tables or checking the stock near the back door. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we take our tea breaks under the shade outside. The road out front gets dusty when the trucks go by, but that’s just how it is. We don’t really do much advertising. People usually find us because they heard from someone else. It's a lot of manual work, getting the textures right and making sure everything is packed up tight. Sometimes the rain makes the commute a bit messy, but the work doesn't stop. We just keep moving. It’s a quiet life in this part of Taluka Palghar, focused on the material in front of us. We aren't trying to be the biggest, just trying to get the day's tasks finished properly. It’s just us, some leather, and the daily routine we’ve built up over time.
