Ami Polymer is situated at 319 in the Mahesh Industrial Estate. We’re right across from Silver Park on the Mira Bhayander Road. It’s a pretty easy spot to find if you’re coming through Mira Road East. The estate itself is always busy with trucks coming and going, and we’re right in the thick of it. We deal with polymers, so there’s often that specific smell of rubber or plastic in the air when you walk in. Our space is more of a workshop than a corporate office. We have racks of materials and the machines we use for processing everything. It can get pretty warm in the afternoons, but we’re used to it by now. Most of us have been here a while, and we know each other's habits. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone like that; we just answer the phone ourselves and talk to people who need parts. Sometimes we have to explain that a certain order will take a bit longer because a machine needs maintenance, and people usually understand because they’re in the same boat. It’s an honest place where we work with our hands and try to get the dimensions right. No one here wears a tie. We just wear our work clothes and get through the daily list of things to do. It’s a bit messy sometimes, with scraps on the floor, but that’s just how a real workshop looks when people are working hard.
