Acai Welfare Federation

Our place is in Kalambe Thane, which is part of the Shahapur area in Thane district. We are based out of House Number 567(9). It is a bit of a trek if you are coming from the main city, but this is where we live and where we work. Acai Welfare Federation is just a small group of us who wanted to do something for the community here. Shahapur is a nice enough place but there are always things that can be improved. We don’t have a big staff or a fancy office setup with air conditioning and glass walls. We just use a room in the house to keep our files and meet up when we need to. Usually, we are out in the village talking to people. We have been here for a long time, so everyone knows where to find us if they need anything. The work can be slow sometimes, especially during the monsoon when the roads get a bit messy. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy letters for us. We just write what we need to and get on with it. It is honest work and it keeps us busy most days. We aren’t looking to become some huge federation that covers the whole country. We just care about what happens here in Kalambe and the nearby spots. It is just a few of us trying to stay helpful.
