If you know Matunga East, you know how busy Bhaudaji Road can get. That’s where you’ll find Aanandit Foundation, specifically in C-801 at Hubtown Heaven. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a while. Mumbai is a fast city, but in our corner, we try to slow things down a little bit. We are just a small group of people who wanted to do something useful. It isn't anything flashy. We spend our time checking in on neighbors or organizing small things that need doing. Our office feels more like a living room than a place of business. There’s always tea going. People from the building and the nearby streets stop by just to chat or ask for a hand with something. We don't have a big staff with suits. It’s just us. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, but we don't mind the stairs. Living in Mumbai means you get used to the noise and the crowds. We just try to be a calm spot in the middle of it all. We deal with whatever comes our way, whether it's helping someone with paperwork or just listening. It’s local work for local people. We like being in Matunga. It has a specific feel, you know? The morning markets and the old trees. That is where we fit in. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just our little part of it.
