Aadimaya Foundation

Aadimaya Foundation is based out here in Papari, which is a small place in the Mohol area of Solapur. If you are driving on the road toward Penur, you will find us at Gat No. 326/3. It is a quiet spot, quite different from the big cities. We don't have a large office building or anything like that. It is just a simple place where we gather to manage our work. Most of us are locals from the village or nearby areas. We started this because we wanted to have something of our own to address the issues we see every day. The office has a few chairs and a wooden desk that has been there for years. We spend a lot of time just talking to the people who walk in from the fields or the nearby houses. It is very informal. There are no suits or ties here. We usually have the windows open to let the breeze in, though it gets quite dusty when the tractors go by on the road. We don't really have a set schedule sometimes; we just work when there is work to be done. It’s a slow pace of life, but we prefer it that way. We just keep our records in some old files and try to stay organized as much as we can without making it too complicated. It’s just us doing what we can for the village.
