Obaid Building Material is located out in Post-Behrote in the Rajouri district. We are right in the Tehsil area, very close to the J&K Bank. It is a pretty well-known spot for people living around here. We supply all the basic things you need if you are trying to build a house or fix up a wall. We have stacks of bricks, bags of cement, and all that sort of stuff piled up. The shop is simple and we don't spend money on fancy displays. People come to us because they know we are right here in the community. We've seen a lot of houses go up in this district over the years using the materials we’ve sold. It makes us feel like we are doing something useful for the town. Dealing with the weather can be tricky, especially when the roads get rough, but we try to keep things moving. We usually have a few guys around to help load the trucks. It’s not a complicated operation. We keep our books, talk to our suppliers, and make sure the customers get what they paid for. It is a quiet kind of work most days, unless a big delivery is arriving. We enjoy the pace of life here in Behrote and wouldn't really want to be anywhere else doing anything else. It is just a plain, local business helping folks build their homes.
