Mr Hardware & Paints

So, we are over here at Tp 2/747 on the Kuttiyadi Road, which most people know if they are heading through Wayanad toward Mananthavady. It’s a busy stretch of road and Mr Hardware & Paints has been sitting here for quite a while now. I spend most of my mornings opening up the shutters and dusting off the paint cans that seem to collect a bit of grit from the passing trucks. It’s not a fancy place, just shelves full of what you’d expect—brushes, hammers, different kinds of nails, and rows of paint. The weather in Niraveil Puzha can get pretty damp, so people are always coming in asking for stuff to fix leaks or touch up their walls after the rain. I usually have the radio playing in the background while I help folks figure out which size bolt they need. It’s just me and a couple of others here most days. We don’t have any big corporate setup, just a local shop where you can walk in and get what you need without a fuss. Sometimes we run out of a specific color, but we just get more in on the next delivery. It gets a bit crowded behind the counter when the morning rush starts, but that’s just how it goes around here. We know most of the people who stop by by name, which makes the long hours go by a little faster.
