Cement Land

Our business, Cement Land, is located in the Al-Salama Building along Irikkur Road in Mylullimetta. It’s a good spot because we are right on the way for anyone traveling between the main towns. The building itself is quite recognizable in the neighborhood. We occupy a ground floor space which makes it easier for loading and unloading the heavy stuff. It’s often quite busy around here with people heading towards Irikkur. The noise of the traffic is something we’ve just gotten used to over the years. Inside, we keep things pretty basic. There are stacks of cement everywhere you look. We try to keep the Al-Salama Building looking decent, though the nature of our work means there’s always a bit of dust on the windows. We don't have a huge staff, just a few local guys who know how to handle the bags without getting too tired. We spend most of our mornings checking the latest arrivals and making sure the inventory matches our notes. It’s a very practical way of living. We don't have much in the way of fancy decor or comfortable seating for visitors. Most people who come in are in a hurry anyway. We’ve seen a lot of businesses come and go on Irikkur Road, but we’ve managed to stay put. It’s about being consistent and just doing the job as it comes. We enjoy the routine of it all and the people we meet.
