Bharath Traders

It is quite something being here in Pavoorchatram. Our place, Bharath Traders, is right on the Tirunelveli Main Road, so we see everyone passing by on their way to Tenkasi. We are located in the Kamaraj Market area, which means it’s always loud and full of life from five in the morning. Sometimes the trucks blocking the road make things a bit difficult, but that is just how market life goes. We have been at 24-B/2 for a long time. It’s a sturdy building, though the walls could use a fresh coat of paint if we ever find the time. My brother and I usually handle everything ourselves. We don't have a big team or fancy computers everywhere. We use a lot of notebooks to keep track of what comes in and what goes out. The heat in the afternoon can be tough, so we usually have the fan running at full speed. People stop by not just for business but sometimes just to say hello or ask about the weather. It feels good to be part of the community here. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. We just trade what we have and try to keep things moving. The Kamaraj Market is a busy spot, and we are just one small part of that whole ecosystem. Every day is different, which keeps it interesting. We are just regular people making a living on the main road.
