Shaikh Traders

We operate out of Morrispeth in the Guntoor district. The exact address is Door No: 58/22. We’re quite close to the Diamond Crystal building, which is a good landmark for people trying to find us. Morrispeth is a crowded area with narrow streets and lots of shops packed together. Shaikh Traders is just one of those many small businesses. Our shop isn't very wide, but it goes back pretty deep. We have stacks of items piled up almost to the ceiling in the back. The front is where we have a small counter and a few stools for people to sit. It’s usually quite warm, so we have a couple of ceiling fans going at full speed all day long. The street outside is always full of motorcycles and people walking. Guntoor is a hot place, so we try to get most of our heavy lifting done in the early morning hours. We don't have a computer system for everything; a lot of our notes are still kept in big ledger books. It feels more real that way. Sometimes we make mistakes and have to cross things out, but that’s just how it is. We’ve been here for years and know all the other traders on the block. We share news and sometimes help each other out. It’s a busy life, but it’s our life. We just see what the day brings.
