Sree Venkateshwara Industries

It’s been a good number of years since we first opened the doors here at Sree Venkateshwara Industries. Our place is located at Plot No 256 in Navodaya Nagar, which is part of the Cherlapally area. If you’ve ever been around Sy No 18, you probably know the spot. Most mornings start pretty early for us. We get the machines warmed up and the guys start trickling in around eight. It can get quite loud once everything is running, but that’s just how an industrial workshop is. We don’t have any fancy receptionists or big glass offices. Usually, you’ll just find one of us sitting at the main desk handling papers or out on the floor checking on how the work is going. The space isn’t huge but we make it work. Sometimes the loading area gets a bit cramped when the trucks arrive, especially if they show up at the same time. We’ve had to learn how to organize the floor space better over time so nobody is tripping over stuff. Cherlapally has changed quite a bit since we arrived, with more units popping up nearby. We just keep our heads down and get through the daily list. On hot afternoons, the breeze through the main shutters is the only thing that keeps us moving. It’s not a glamorous setup, just a bunch of people who know their way around the machinery and have been doing this long enough to not need instructions for every little thing. We usually share a round of tea at four.
