Ananda In The Himalayas

We are Ananda In The Himalayas, located up at the Palace Estate in Narendra Nagar. Our address is 249175. Being up here in the mountains is a bit different than being down in the valley. The air is thinner and things move a lot slower. We spend a lot of our time just keeping the estate in good shape. It’s a lot of land to look after, and the weather can be quite hard on the buildings. We aren't a big corporate entity with a lot of rules. It’s more about the daily chores like clearing the paths or checking the roof after a storm. Most of us who work here live in the nearby villages. We walk up the hills every morning to get here. We don’t have any big slogans or missions. We just show up and do the work that needs doing. It’s a quiet life for the most part. We don't have many visitors during the monsoon because the roads get tricky. We just use that time to do repairs. It’s a very practical way of living. We don't spend time on fancy brochures or advertisements. The mountain is there, and the palace is there, and we are just here to look after it all. It's a lot of physical labor, but it keeps us busy.
