Bharat Super Cement

This part of our operation is set up specifically for the Tehri Project in Uttaranchal. We are located within the Ticil Division area of Kct & Bros. Being up here in the hills is a lot different than working in a city. The weather can be a bit unpredictable, which sometimes slows down the cement deliveries. We are right in the middle of a big project environment, so there is always movement and dust everywhere. Our office is basically a temporary setup that has become quite permanent over the months. It’s mostly just desks, stacks of delivery notes, and a lot of empty tea cups. We spend our days coordinating with the engineers and the guys on the ground. It’s a lot of talking on the radio and checking the stock levels in the sheds. We don't have any fancy brochures to hand out. Most people here just know us by name and what we provide. It’s hard work being part of such a large construction effort, but we just keep our heads down and do our part. Sometimes the roads get blocked by landslides, and we have to figure out how to keep things moving. It keeps life interesting. We’re just a small piece of a much bigger puzzle up here in the mountains, and that’s fine with us. The air is thinner up here, and the winters get cold, so we have a small heater that barely works.
