Ashta Siddhi Foundation

We are based up here in Chamba, specifically over on Massoorie Road at house 117. Anju Thapityal is the main person here and looks after the day to day. It gets a bit cold in Tehri Garhwal during the winter months, but we stay busy with the foundation work regardless of the weather. We started this because there was a need in the local area. Most people around here know where we are because we are right along the main road. It is not a big office or anything fancy, just a small space where we get things done and keep our files. We spend a lot of time talking to the neighbors and seeing what needs fixing or helping with. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow up in the hills, so we do a lot of things the old-fashioned way with paper and pens. If you are driving up toward Massoorie, you probably pass us without even noticing. We have been here for a while now. The team is just a few local folks who care about Chamba. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters for us. We just try to help out where we can. It is quiet mostly, but on market days it gets quite busy around here. We handle the daily paperwork and keep things moving as well as we can. It is a good place to work and live. Sometimes the monkeys cause a bit of trouble on the roof.
