Operating out of Midc Tarapur means we are surrounded by factories and warehouses on all sides. It is a very industrial part of the world, and you can smell the salt in the air sometimes because we are not that far from the coast. Our building is a plain structure that fits right in with everything else in Tarapur. We don't have a big sign out front, just the name on the door and a lot of movement inside. The floors are hard and usually have some scuff marks from the heavy pallets being dragged across. We start early before the sun gets too hot because the warehouse can heat up quickly in the afternoons. Most of the day is spent checking batches and making sure nothing is sitting where it shouldn't be. We use a lot of tape and cardboard, and there is always a pile of empty boxes waiting to be cleared out by the end of the week. The workers here have been together for a long time, so we don't have to say much to get the job done. We just know the routine of the Midc area. It is a long drive for some of us to get here, but once we are in, the day goes by fast with all the packing. It isn't a glamorous setup, but it is where we do our work every day without fail. We just keep the inventory moving and the records updated.
